The International Makeup Artist Trade Show occurs six times a year internationally and last weekend London saw the infamous trade show rock up to Olympia (Kensington) bringing vast crowds all ready for the key speakers, live demonstrations, Battle of the Brushes and of course the discounts!
I had a busy weekend planned with alternative arrangements so unfortunately only made the PRO only event on the Friday, which was definitely busier than it was last year but I feel a lot less stressful due to increased organisation around the till points.
As I bought a fair few items I will do separate posts on each haul but for now I will tease you with a sneak peek at some of the products I wanted to get my creative hands on…
NYX is a popular stand as always as the brand is not so easy to get a hold of in the UK. I’ve bought some of the products online in the past but it’s nicer to see what you’re buying beforehand and to get a few swatches on your arm!
The same goes for most purchases really – online convenience is of course a real luxury with less hassle and effort in the process but a lack of tangibility until it pops through your door! Going through every brush at least four times on the Love Makeup stand I eventually decided upon these three total stunners *finger pointing down*.
Knowing the brands that would be attending beforehand I made a definitive list of what I wanted to avoid overspending and blowing a well thought out budget. Of course not all of the brands can carry their entire line at one stand so several products I had my little eyes on were not to be but I made very brilliant substitutions if I do say so myself!
Bobbi Brown PRO (there are PRO products available that are in addition to the brand’s regular makeup line sold in stores/online shop (unless you’re a PRO card member)) and Make Up For Ever were my main stops this year and I managed to get some beauties to add to my kit for the wedding season in particular…
Don’t mind my little succulent – he manages to get in virtually every shot the greedy desert sprout! I’ll try and utilise some of his brothers in the next post!!
